No-one will be permitted to smoke anywhere inside the school building.
This policy has been developed in response from DENI Information, from WELB and the Health Promotions Agency for Northern Ireland. 

The Designated Teacher has attended courses jointly organised by WELB and the Health Promotions Agency.

Pupils shall be educated on the effects of smoking and given opportunities to learn the skills necessary to resist the pressure to smoke.  They should be able to make informed decisions on smoking.

Children will be taught at a level appropriate to their age and ability, in a way, which demonstrates continuity and progression.  Evidence of attainment will be monitored through teacher observation, discussion, written accounts worksheets, board displays etc.
