Cornagague Primary has a designated Teacher who has training and experience of handling any drugs related issues that may arise. Currently this is Mrs D Boyle.

The designated Teachers duties include :

• To work closely with WELB's officer in charge of drug and solvent abuse and the Community Police Liaison Officer.
• To be readily available to discuss with staff any related problems they may be facing with pupils in their charge.
• To be aware of up-to-date developments, eg services, information and training.
• To promote heightened awareness of drug education within the school.
• To work with members of staff on the implementation of the policy.
